Bill Powers is an award winning singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, Radio DJ, music instructor and band leader. Born and raised in Mississippi Bill cut his teeth in the Colorado acoustic music scene fronting the highly popular old timey bluegrass band Sweet Sunny South-- along the way he and his wife, bassist Shelley Gray started Honey Don't as a side project that eventually bloomed into their full-time music project. The Couple uprooted from Colorado's Western Slope in 2014 and found their way to Bend, Oregon where they've inserted themselves rather quickly into the NW music scene. For this run Bill is touring solo sharing original songs and tunes on guitar, mandolin and banjo-spinning yarns through song that stand as a culmination of his southern roots, twenty some odd years touring and raising a family. His voice and laid back delivery of some truly exceptional songs are refreshing and comfortable.
